The Kistler PTO, in cooperation with Shirley Township PTO and Mapleton CTO, are bringing back field trips to ALL Mount Union Area Elementary students!! Each building's parent group be to paying for admission and transportation for their students to go on grade level trips in addition to the year end DelGrosso's reward trip (PLEASE NOTE: Students must earn their way to the DelGrosso's trip by reading 25 books this school year!).

Santa Shop- Mon, Dec. 12 and Tues, Dec. 13 during school. Students shouldn't bring more than $10 from home. Every student will be given one Santa dollar from the PTO.

Breakfast with Santa- Dec. 17 8-9:30 am. Admission is a canned food item for the local food bank. Enjoy a free pancake and sausage breakfast, visit with Santa and get a free Christmas book. Remember your camera! There will be a raffle with awesome prizes to be awarded.

Mug on a Rug- Dec. 22 Students bring in their own mug from home to enjoy hot chocolate, popcorn and movies. Students may wear pajamas and slippers in school that day. (please make sure that pajamas fit the dress code).

Alvin and the Chipmunks movie day Jan. 14 at 10am and 4pm at the Clifton 5. $3 per person for admission, popcorn and soda.

Comedy Show Feb. 24 in the MUAHS Auditorium. $15 per person over 18. No minors will be admitted.

Reading incentives goal #1- if 75% of Kistler students have 13 books read by the end of the second marking period (sometime in Jan.) Mr. Miller will dress like a woman and read to each class!!

When doing YOUR online shopping this year, please check with www.schoolmall.com or the Box Tops for Education Marketplace before placing an order. Each website will donate a portion of the sale to the PTO without costing you anything extra!

Continue to save your Box Tops, Campbell's Soup Lables, Tyson Chicken Lables, and empty ink cartridges!!!! Box Top money is used by the teachers in the classroom that collected it.

Watch your child's mail for all the details to all the fun stuff we have coming up!

Our next PTO meeting will be held on Jan. 2  at 6:30.

Thanks to everyone for their support and help with the School Mall postcards, Oakbrook sales, Country Button Candle Sales, and Trojan Spiritwear sale.

Trunk or Treat was another great success. Everyone had awesome decorations. Winners were... Becky Kelly- best Halloween theme; Shelia Goshorn and Amanda Sechrist- best original theme for Candyland. Honorable mentions in most original category- Terri Souders and Brandi Smith (Alice in Wonderland), Susan Stringer (50's) and Jody Fye and Erica Huffnagle (Enchanted Kingdom).

November movie day- double feature Puss in Boots and Happy Feet 2 in 3D had 350 people in attendence. Great turn out. Thanks to the Clifton 5 for offering us movie days!
